SCID test
people said that usually for job interviews, the interviewee will be asked to take the DISC test to see if you are Dominant, Influential, Sociable or Compliant. please correct me if i am wrong.
you can take the free test at http://gregwiens.com/scid/
so recently, i came across an interview and i got a very high C and constant D, I, S. so the interviewer said that my results for the test is weird. so she asked if i will be late for school. i said yes.
if i will skip school. NO.
so her conclusion of me is that i am someone who always abide by the rules..
well....................................................................................
i guess her requirement of an employee is someone who
1) skips work
2) breaks the law
3) late for work
4) bad performance
lol.
Disclaimer: just crapping the above for fun. i dun believe in using the test to judge a personality for employment. we should see how they react on different situations instead. i still prefer scenarios. =)

Outliers
Malcolm Gladwell has this thesis that.. To be good at something, you need to commit at least 10,000 hours of your life.
This is extracted from Wikipedia.
Outliers is a non-fiction book written by Malcolm Gladwell and published by Little, Brown and Company on November 18, 2008. In Outliers, Gladwell examines the factors that contribute to high levels of success. To support his thesis, he examines the causes of why the majority of Canadian ice hockey players are born in the first few months of the calendar year, how Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates achieved his extreme wealth, and how two people with exceptional intelligence, Christopher Langan and J. Robert Oppenheimer, end up with such vastly different fortunes. Throughout the publication, Gladwell repeatedly mentions the "10,000-Hour Rule", claiming that the key to success in any field is, to a large extent, a matter of practising a specific task for a total of around 10,000 hours.
He has proven the thesis with the Beatles and Bill Gates.. so.. its time to commit 10,000hours on something you want to be good at. =D
i realised why i only work at late nights.. cause its the time where i have no distractions like MSN, FB or phone calls. lol. that's something i noticed about me. time to change that bad habit and learn to shut down distractions at earlier timings.
btw, what i mean by work is .. doing project work and assignments. heh.
